Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) of China and Traditional Unani Medicine (TUM) of Pakistan are two major important traditional medical systems in the world. In the thousands of years of combating diseases, both have accumulated rich clinical practice experience and a large number of effective traditional pharmaceutical products, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding the health of the people in China and Pakistan. With the in-depth implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and the continuous improvement of the traditional medicine cooperation mechanism under the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), China and Pakistan are embracing new strategic opportunities in the field of international cooperation on traditional medicines. To promote international cooperation in the R&D of TCM and Unani medicine, deepen exchanges and collaboration between China and Pakistan in the field of traditional medicine, and further enhance the capacity and level of traditional medicine in serving the health of the two peoples, we plan to hold the 2026 China-Pakistan International Symposium on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Unani Medicine & the Launching Ceremony of the Zhejiang-Pakistan Joint Laboratory for Herbal Medicine Research and Development. Representatives from competent authorities, hospitals, universities, research institutes and enterprises engaged in the traditional medicine sector in China and Pakistan are cordially invited to attend the event. Enterprises in related fields are welcome to participate in the exhibition and exchange activities.

V. Conference Content
1. Academic Symposium: Conduct academic exchanges and experience sharing on international cooperation in the R&D, registration and supervision of herbal medicine products of China and Pakistan.
2. Launching Ceremony: Unveiling of the Zhejiang-Pakistan Joint Laboratory for Herbal Medicine Research and Development and signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
3. Preparatory Seminar on the International Clinical Research and Registration Center: Discuss the organizational structure and work content of the "SCO Traditional Medicine Industry Alliance - COMSTECH International Center for TCM Registration and Clinical Research".
4. Industry Matchmaking: Visits to the joint laboratory and relevant pharmaceutical enterprises, and discussions on mechanisms for talent cultivation and industrial incubation.
VI. Invited Leaders and Experts
The event will be attended by distinguished guests including:
H.E. Khalil-ur-Rahman Hashmi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to China;
Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Secretary General of COMSTECH and Vice President of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS);
as well as renowned scientists and government officials engaged in management, R&D, medical care, education and policy research in the traditional medicine sector, including academicians from both China and Pakistan.

1. Registration Deadline: Please complete the registration on or before May 25, 2026.
2. Registration Method: Fill in the Conference Registration Form (see attachment) and send it to the designated conference email address: NBUSYMPO2026@163.com. The email subject should be marked as "2026 International Symposium on Herbal Medicine R&D + Name of Organization".
3. Conference Information Release: All information about this conference will be released simultaneously on the official websites of the Embassy of Pakistan in China, COMSTECH and Ningbo University. Please stay tuned for updates.
4. Fee Notes: Conference fees are waived. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, travel and accommodation expenses.
